Law
Most law schools prefer a broad undergraduate liberal arts program. Therefore, there is no prescribed prelaw curriculum. Students planning postgraduate study of law should take courses that develop rigorous and disciplined thinking, writing, and speaking abilities; critical understanding of human institutions, particularly the political system of which the law, the bar, and the courts are a part; and sensitivity to human and social values. A major in political science, history, or English is useful. In addition to their major advisers, students should consult the prelaw adviser during their junior and senior years.
