Exploring Majors

Elmhurst College offers many ways for you to explore majors, from talking with faculty to taking advantage of the College's Office of Career Education. The Center for Professional Excellence offers a half-credit course (two semester hours), CPP 299 Professional Foundations for Career Exploration, which is designed to help you explore areas of interest. The CPE can also arrange opportunities for shadowing and mentoring experiences.

Elmhurst offers more than 50 majors. While minors (pdf) are optional, you may find one that complements your interests and major. Listening to outstanding speakers on campus will also broaden your horizons.

Take advantage of websites that help you explore what you can do with a range of majors, including MyPlan.com and What Can I Do with this Major?
