Gerontology

U.S. Focus Option
A focus in Gerontology will increase your understanding of the characteristics, roles, contributions, and needs of senior adults.

As part of the requirements for a minor in Intercultural Studies, the focus in Gerontology requires one or two of the following courses:
  • BIO 419 Pathophysiology (Note prerequisites)
  • PSY 319 Adult Development and Aging (highly recommended)
  • SOC 214/314 The Elderly: Lifestyles and Issues (even January Term) (PPP) (highly recommended)
  • ICS 280/380 Intercultural Experiential
