Major in Biology

A major in biology is an ideal choice for students who are fascinated by the origin, growth, structure, function, evolution and distribution of animals and plants. With a degree in biology from Elmhurst College, you'll be prepared for a wide range of dynamic careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, research, teaching and many industrial, agricultural and environmental applications.

Biology majors at Elmhurst can choose a study track leading toward professional medicine and allied health care, graduate study or secondary-school teaching. Students who have identified a different career goal can work with their advisors to create a customized track for that career. The program's flexibility even allows evening students to major in biology.
