Dates & Deadlines

Below are typical deadlines for study-abroad programs at Elmhurst College. Please be aware, however, that many programs have earlier deadlines, so check with the coordinator of your program for further information. 

NOTICE! YOU MUST FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION IN THE CENTER FOR PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE FOR ALL LONG-TERM STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMS!

Spring Programs

September 1 
Application must be turned in to the Office of International Education in the Center for Professional Excellence.

October 1 
Registration deadline  for required CPP 250 course.

Summer & Fall Programs

February 1 
Application must be turned in to the Office of International Education in the Center for Professional Excellence.

March 1
Registration deadline for required CPP 250 course.

J-Term Programs

April 10
Priority applications accepted April 6-10, 2009.

September 15
Beginning with this date the cancellation fee is $100.

October 2
Enrollment deadline. After this date, only recoverable costs are refunded to those who cancel. The $400 deposit is also forfeited to those who cancel after this date.

October 22
Final Payment Statements sent to students for all UMAIE courses. 

October 24
All registration forms must be turned in to the Office of International Education by this date. Two copies of each student's passport and medical forms must also be turned in to the Office of International Education.

October 29 
Final payments must be made to the Office of Student Accounts or students may be dropped from the course and held responsible for the cost of the entire trip.

November 11 All students going on UMAIE or EC courses must register in person at Records & Registration.  You will not receive credit for the course if you do not register. 

November 20-21
Mandatory UMAIE Orientation in Minneapolis. Departure on November 20 at 2:30 p.m. Return near midnight on November 21.
