About the Program

An understanding of the causes and consequences of human behavior is a critical component to success in a wide range of professional endeavors. As a student in Elmhurst’s accelerated major in psychology, you’ll study how people learn, think, perceive, behave, and interact with others in their environment—and prepare for a dynamic career.

Here’s some of what we offer:

A focus on adults. The program is designed specifically to meet the academic and practical needs of adult learners, age 24 and up. All classes meet in the evening; we even offer child care.

Exceptional faculty. All courses are taught by Elmhurst College faculty who combine extensive classroom and professional experience with active teaching styles suited to adult learners.

A path to a great career. Alumni of Elmhurst’s accelerated psychology program are flourishing in leadership positions in business, education, human resources, health care, social services, and other fields. They’re thriving in graduate school in psychology and other disciplines. Where will your degree take you?
