Elmhurst College is located at the intersection of the liberal arts and the real world. One student at a time, this College seamlessly combines liberal learning, professional preparation and thoughtful self-formation. The result? You get a broad view of culture that prepares you for life in a global society. You learn to analyze information at a whole new level. You begin to meet the challenges of professional competition and continue your journey of personal growth. In short, you’re challenged every day to reach for your full potential, as an emerging professional and a committed person.

We like our learning up close and personal. Our beautiful, 48-acre campus was designed to create a vital space for the engaging, down-to-earth learning that comes when students interact face to face with peers and professors.

Small is big here. Our average class has just 17 students. The small size promotes discussion, inspires exploration and creates an atmosphere where every voice is heard.

You’ll always be the faculty’s first priority. Our student-to-faculty ratio is 12:1, and a faculty member teaches every course. We don’t employ graduate students to teach a little on the side. All this means that you’ll enjoy the kind of professional and personal relationships with accomplished scholars that are available to relatively few college students.

We’re among the “Best in the Midwest.” But don’t take our word for it: Check out U.S. News & World Report and The Princeton Review. Both national surveys rank Elmhurst highly. Our students had good things to say to the Review about our internships (“excellent”), location (“optimal”), and campus (“gorgeous”). What’s more, “your teachers know you by name.”
