Candidacy Status Note:
Elmhurst College remains committed to obtaining ACOTE accreditation for our Master of Occupational Therapy program by the time our first class graduates in the summer of 2018. Elmhurst College applied to the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) for candidacy status and was granted candidacy in 2015. The first class was admitted in fall of 2016. We are currently in the process of Self-Study of our program. The next step in this process includes a formal review of our self-study documents along with an onsite visit by ACOTE officials, scheduled for February 2018. We have requested to move the on-site evaluation to the spring of 2018, and we are working with ACOTE to address questions regarding the standards for our curriculum. Please refer to the prospective applicant letter for information provided by ACOTE related to the accreditation process.
