In this program, you'll learn to think systematically and critically about social, moral and ethical intricacies of society in relationship to pastoral care and chaplaincy. You'll foster listening skills and how to respond empathetically to interfaith issues and learn ethical approaches arising from theological or philosophical systems, such as ethics in medicine, spiritual morality, and philosophy of life. And you'll explore specialized subjects within religion and integrate studies in sacred texts, ministry, theology and philosophy among other areas.

This non-credit, part-time training program can be completed in just six months. Students take three eight-week courses on campus at Elmhurst College. The program is scheduled to begin in Fall B 2013.
