NCP-EP101 Foundations of Interfaith Pastoral and Ethical Care
This course will emphasize critical thinking about ethical concepts as seen through the inter-religious lens in relation to justice issues and duty and obligation in relation to life, death, and family. Theories of ethical scholars will be the framework for discussions regarding moral issues Chaplains and Pastoral Care specialists may encounter.
NCP-EP102 Interfaith Chaplaincy
In this class, students will gain knowledge and expertise in research skills and reflective practices to understand more fully a role of a chaplain in the workplace. This course will also offer a deeper understanding of a chaplain’s contributions as a person of guidance within the community. Chaplaincy is a bridge where both a secular and spiritual purpose is served within an organization and is a highly specialized ministry. Chaplains operate at the cutting edge where ministry and social structures intersect and this course will help foster that process.
NCP-EP103 Interfaith Theological Frameworks for Pastoral and Spiritual Care
This course will provide further instruction in the complexity of interfaith topics and response to the contemporary development of this subject matter in inter-religious settings, society, medical facilities, and the military. This course will delve deeper in various faith traditions in relation to cultural nuances.
