SGD-EP 201 Serious Games Design Strategies and Techniques
How are serious games made? Step-by-step instruction on typical game development milestones including ideation, research and prototyping; design, technical specification, storyboarding; scripting, illustration, animation, sound design and production, videography; software engineering, code development, testing and more testing; publishing.
SGD-EP 202 Serious Games Practicum
Create a complete and effective serious game during an eight-week course. The instructor identifies the subject, objectives and conditions of the serious game prior to student registration; games vary from one term to the next. Students will be grouped together to form a serious game team, and individual roles will be determined by the instructor. Students sharpen their collaborative work skills and work closely with professionals in the game industry. Their final product is entered into a juried third-party serious game competition.
