Scholarships for Students in Accelerated Programs

Elmhurst College recommends that prospective students begin to plan early for financing their education. Financial aid for degree seeking students consists of three types: scholarships, grants and loans. Elmhurst College believes in recognizing and rewarding excellence with scholarships that are based on prior academic achievement. A detailed description of these scholarships can be found on the second page of this publication. Scholarships and grants are types of aid that do not have to be repaid; loans must be repaid. Students may also wish to investigate tuition reimbursement programs offered by their employer.

Some Things to Keep in Mind
Scholarship aid cannot exceed $3,500 per term. Students eligible for multiple scholarships, may combine scholarship aid up to $3,500 per term. The Excellence scholarship (valued at $2,000 per term) and Recognition scholarship (valued at $1,000 per term) are exceptions to this policy; if a student qualifies for these scholarships, any additional scholarship aid will be awarded at $500 each per term, in addition to these scholarships.

Part-time, non-degree and second degree-seeking students are not eligible for Elmhurst College scholarships.

The School for Professional Studies makes the scholarship decision at the time of admission based on the credentials and supporting materials you submit when you apply.

To renew a scholarship, GPA requirements represent a cumulative Elmhurst College GPA.

Full-time students, while enrolled in an accelerated program and paying on a per credit hour basis, may receive aid and scholarships during the fall and spring terms only.
