Pre-Clinical Psychology

Course Sequence

Required courses for the pre-clinical psychology major meet in the following sequence. You may complete the major requirements in as little as a year, or you may stretch the program out over two years or more.

In addition to completing the following courses, you'll need to fulfill general education and elective requirements.

Fall Term
(16 weeks: 3 course credits, 12 semester hours)
PSY 327 Abmornal Psychology (hybrid course)
PSY 328 Clinical and Counseling Psychology (hybrid course)
PSY 355 Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences

January Term
(4 weeks: 4 semester hours)
PSY 315 Lifespan Development

Spring Term
(16 weeks: 2 course credits, 8 semester hours)
PSY 356 Research Methods in Psychology
PSY 422 Psychological Testing

Summer Term
(2 consecutive 6-week sessions: 2 course credits, 8 semester hours)
PSY 430 Cognitive Processes
PSY 496 Senior Capstone Seminar
