Cyber Security

Curriculum

The undergraduate-level certificate program in cyber security at Elmhurst requires the successful completion of 5 courses for a total of 5 credits (20 semester hours).

The curriculum includes coursework that builds a solid foundation in computer science and an introductory course in information processing--designed to prepare students who do not have an IT background for coursework that focuses on security.

  • CS 405 Cryptography

Program Format
As an adult learner, you come to class equipped with knowledge and skills that enable you to learn at an accelerated pace. This program is designed to meet your specific academic and practical needs and is intended for students seeking to complete a certificate program in cyber security. The undergraduate-level cyber security certificate is offered fully online through the Elmhurst College Online Center. Classes are eight weeks in length and the program is offered within a matrix of course modules that you will complete in a logical sequence. Classes are sequential and you can complete your certificate in as little as one year.
