An exciting weekend is on tap for a pair of Elmhurst athletic teams. After winning the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin’s (CCIW) regular season and tournament championships, Elmhurst’s volleyball team will host an NCAA Division III Volleyball regional on the weekend of November 9. Following last Saturday’s 41-24 win over Carthage, the Elmhurst football improved to 8-1 and tied a school record for most wins in a season. This week, the Bluejays have a chance to earn their CCIW Title since the 1980 season. Come out and cheer on both squads to victory!
Ranked among the nation’s top-15 teams all season long, the Elmhurst volleyball team recently captured its first CCIW title since the 2004 season and its first CCIW Tournament title since the 2005 season. Elmhurst is currently ranked ninth in the country with a 29-7 overall record.
This weekend, the Bluejays host an eight-team regional in the NCAA Division III Championship at R.A. Faganel Hall. Julie Hall’s squad will face Webster University in the first round of the tournament on Friday, November 9, at 8:00 p.m. Semifinal matches on Saturday, November 10, will begin at 4:30 p.m., while the regional championship match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 11. Tickets are available at the door and are priced at $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

The Bluejays football team has won five consecutive league contests and is currently in a three-way tie at the top of the CCIW standings. Ranked 20th in the nation in the latest D3football.com poll, Elmhurst closes out the 2012 regular season by hosting Illinois Wesleyan University at Langhorst Field on Saturday, November 10, at 1:00 p.m. An Elmhurst victory would clinch at least a share of the league title for the first time in more than 30 years—and put the squad in excellent position to earn its first-ever trip to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. Children under the age of 10 and students/staff with a Jaypass are admitted free of charge.
