Minor in Art Education

A minor in art education consists of five art courses: ART 361 plus a minimum of one art history course, one studio course at the 300-400 level and two additional courses, which could be transferred. This minor will satify the 18 hours for an art endorsement with anyone with middle school approval. With the substitution of ART 362 for ART 361 and one additional 300/400-level art course, the six-course minor can satisfy the 24-hour endorsement requirement for the secondary level endorsement as long as all courses have a grade of C or better and the content-area test is passed.

Note: if transfer courses are fewer than 4 semester hours, additional courses may be necessary for endorsements.
