Fixing Illinois: A Great State’s Problems and Promise
On Friday, November 18, Kwame Raoul will discuss present the next lecture in Elmhurst College's lecture series, Fixing Illinois: A Great State’s Problems and Promise. His talk, Illinois’ Fiscal Crisis: Decades in the Making, begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Frick Center, Blume Board Room.
Kwame currently serves in the Illinois Senate, representing the 13th legislative district. He serves as the chair of the Redistricting Committee and the Pension and Investments Committee. Raoul is a former Cook County prosecutor and has served on the Board of Directors of the Cook County Bar Association.
In June, Elmhurst College launched the lecture series Fixing Illinois: A Great State’s Problems and Promise, with the goal of starting an ongoing discussion about the challenges that Illinois faces, and empowering citizens to help address those challenges and move the state forward.
