Elmhurst offers a wide range of programs related to health care. Some of these programs provide excellent preparation for professional and/or graduate study, while others lead directly to rewarding careers.

Each program offers the special blend of expert advising and co-curricular opportunities that is the hallmark of the Center for the Health Professions.

Pre-professional Programs
If you're planning to attend a professional school, such as medical school or dental school, you won't "major" in pre-med or pre-dental. Instead, you'll choose a major from our list of 50—and work closely with your advisor to make sure you get a solid liberal arts education and complete all the courses required for entry into professional schools. Elmhurst offers especially strong programs in biology and chemistry, two popular majors among students preparing for the health professions.
