Post-Baccalaureate Programs
Prior to applying to medical or other professional schools, some students who already have their undergraduate degree may want to enhance their academic background by taking higher level, science courses to boost their GPA and strengthen their overall candidacy. Others may be interested in completing the necessary prerequisite courses if they are changing career paths. Students are able to participate in post-baccalaureate (post-bac) programs to meet these needs. For more information on post-bac programs, visit the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions, Inc site. Below is a sampling of post-bac programs. Students should carefully read over the descriptions to determine if they are for enhancing one's application and/or for those changing careers. For any students interested in completing prerequisite courses for health professions programs, can take those undergraduate classes at Elmhurst. CHP staff are able to help you with further questions so stop by to schedule an appointment!
