Graduate School Preparation

Is graduate school for you?

Graduate or professional education will help you develop the skills you'll need in many professional fields. And once you've begun your career, a graduate or professional degree can help you advance—farther and faster. What's more, graduate study gives you greater flexibility to change careers.

As you refine your professional goals, the Office of Career Education at Elmhurst College will work with you to determine whether graduate education is right for you. Working closely with Elmhurst faculty, we'll examine your job prospects in various fields at all degree levels. Then we’ll work directly with you to choose a school and prepare for the application process.

For more information about preparing for graduate school, see E-PASS: Strategies for Graduate School Planning (pdf). For more resources, see Planning for Graduate or Professional School? (pdf) and our Graduate School Planning Guide.
