Campus Initiatives

Key departments of the College have made big strides in making their operations green. Here’s what they’re up to:

Facilities Management
In recent years, the Facilities Management Department has made strides to promote sustainability in the upkeep of the College’s buildings and grounds. Read more

Dining Services
Chartwells, the College’s dining service, also has moved to incorporate sustainable practices. For example, its most commonly used disposable packaging is made from renewable resources, and only fair trade organic coffee is served in dining venues. Read more

Residence Life
Students in the Residence Halls have taken the lead in sustainability-related projects at the College.  Their enthusiasm and hard work in the area enrich the Elmhurst Experience for themselves and for the institution as a whole. Read More
