Electronics Recycling Event

Elmhurst College will host a fourth recycling event on Saturday, October 20 from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Mill Theatre at the corner of Myrtle and Park streets. Electronics of all kinds will be accepted. This is particularly important because consumers are prohibited by state law from disposing of electronic items with ordinary trash; and landfills are prohibited from accepting them. Electronics can be broken down into glass, plastics and metals, and then reused in manufacturing.

A second Recycling Extravaganza will be hosted in April where a number of non-profit social service and green-focused organizations will be on hand to accept unwanted items.
