James Kulich, Ph.D.
Dr. Kulich holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from Northwestern University and currently serves as chief information officer for Elmhurst College as well as professor of mathematics. He has extensive experience in applying quantitative methods and analytical tools to produce useful and actionable information from widely ranging data. His expertise includes the full range of modern statistical and data modeling methods.
John Jeffery, Ph.D.
For more than thirty years, Dr. Jeffery has researched, published and taught in the areas of programming language environments and semantics; concurrency and parallel-programming models; and software and knowledge engineering. His Ph.D. and M.S. are in computer science with the primary research in the above-mentioned topics. He has worked as a consultant to software and communication companies in the areas of developing programming language environments for new software methodologies and lifecycles. His publications include original work presented and published in refereed International Conferences and Journals.
Bill Muellner, Ph.D.
Dr. Muellner holds a Ph.D. in mathematical and solid state physics and has worked both in industry and in the field of secondary education. Positions he has held in industry include serving as an engineering project manager and also as a senior staff scientist, positions that allowed him to obtain almost a dozen U.S. patents. He has also taught at the college level for more than 40 years, the last 32 at Elmhurst College. As a teacher, he has taught courses that include numerical methods, advanced mathematics, electrical/electronic engineering and numerous courses in the computer area including computer programming (in numerous languages), data structures, data base, operating systems, AI, computer animation and simulation and many others.
Mr. Smith joined the Elmhurst College faculty part time in 1977, while teaching full time at Northern Illinois University. In 2013, he joined the faculty on a full-time basis as lecturer and IT program director. He received his B.S. in mathematics and MBA from Northern Illinois University. During his years as an adjunct faculty member, he worked at CNA Insurance as a senior systems software engineering director, focusing on the evaluation, implementation and support of software products.
