The undergraduate-level certificate program in digital cinema at Elmhurst requires the successful completion of 5 courses for a total of 5 credits (20 semester hours).

The curriculum includes coursework that builds a solid foundation in digital filmmaking. Through examination, application and review, students learn about the core elements of the filmmaking process.

Program Format
As an adult learner, you come to class equipped with knowledge and skills that enable you to learn at an accelerated pace. This program is designed to meet your specific academic and practical needs and is intended for students seeking to complete a certificate program in digital cinema. The undergraduate-level certificate program in digital cinema is offered entirely online through the Elmhurst College Online Center. Classes are eight weeks in length and the program is offered within a matrix of course modules that you will complete in a logical sequence. Students can complete the digital cinema certtificate in as little as one year.

Technical Requirements
All students in the program must meet the technical requirements for programs in the Elmhurst College Online Center and have a device capable of shooting video, such as a smartphone, pocket video camera, digital camera with video capabilities or camcorder.
