Students seeking certification in history, geography, economics, political science, or sociology/anthropology will be certified in broadfield social science with one of these subjects as their designation. This certification allows them to teach any of the social sciences at the regular level and their designation at the A.P. and honors level. For requirements of each specific program, see the teacher certification officer in the Department of Education or the coordinator of secondary education.
