Description: Assistant Director of Residence Life immediate opening. Chicago metropolitan area. Elmhurst College seeks a dynamic mid-level residence education professional for the Office of Residence Life. Serves as the primary officer of the student life functions of the residence halls, houses and apartments with a resident population of 1,100+. Responsibilities include oversight, assessment, and planning of all programming, intercultural education initiatives, leadership development, staff selection and education, supervision and evaluation, student conduct, crisis intervention, and summer operations. Supervise six professional residence hall staff and indirectly supervise full residential education staff. Competitive salary, modest meal plan, college benefits, furnished apartment (off-campus apartment community), professional development funds. Description: Elmhurst College welcomes applications for a Executive Director of Development. The Executive Director of Development will report to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations and work with the Vice President and a senior leadership team to develop and lead the College into a comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Executive Director of Development will supervise four Senior Development Officers, two Directors, one Associate Director and associated staff with responsibilities for major gifts, planned and annual giving and corporate and foundation relations. A coordinated, vigorous and productive fundraising effort to match the College’s success in academic reputation is the mission for the Executive Director of Development. In addition, the Executive Director of Development will also have a significant role cultivating and soliciting a portfolio of donors and prospects while leading his/her highly professional team by example. Elmhurst College finds itself on a steady path of growth and recognition and we consider ourselves to be the “in” place to be with a competitive salary and benefit package. Qualifications: The successful applicant will be a self-starter with the relevant experience to provide effective leadership of a team as well as the variety, imagination and boldness in ideas needed for success. The appropriate education should be supported by five years of managerial fundraising experience with a higher education background preferred.
