Careers
With a degree from Elmhurst’s Department of Geography & Geosciences, your professional horizons will be wide and interesting. Our graduates are working in urban, regional, and transportation planning; cartography and geographic information systems (GIS); commercial location and marketing analysis; education; and more.

- Dave Andrusyk, ’97, works as a naturalist for the Tri-County State Park Visitor Center.
- Candice Assell (Engelbrecht), ’02, teaches earth science/astronomy/weather & environment at Naperville North High School.
- Steven Bolduc, ’80, recently retired as a commander in the U.S. Navy, where he served as an oceanographer/meteorologist.
- Carmella Burdi, '06, is a GIS Specialist with the County of DuPage.
- Steve Damolaris, ’87, is a GIS planner for the city of Elgin.
- Kevin Donovan, ’00, works as a land surveyor at Webster, McGrath & Ahlberg.
- Linda Kuta Gray ’88 is a geographic specialist for the U.S. Department of the Census.
