Careers

Studying history develops skills that will help you build success in almost any career. Our alumni enjoy success in a large variety of careers, including teaching, research, consulting, museum work, and law. Many of our alumni go on to prestigious graduate schools before launching their careers.

  • Jean Rexford ’76, executive director of Connecticut Patients’ Rights, executive director of the Connecticut Center for Patient Safety, and former director of Planned Parenthood of Connecticut
  • Albert J. DeSimone ’77, vice president for development, Augustana College
  • Tom Prinzing ’77, partner/owner of Prinzing Enterprises
  • Brendan Lyons ’00, history teacher at York High School
  • Julie Sapp ’02, a teacher at Maine East High School in Park Ridge
  • Melissa Jennings ’03, a student at the Monterey Institute of International Studies, where she is earning a master of arts in international policy studies with a specialization in nonproliferation
  • Anthony Molaro '03, MBA '06, assistant professor at Grand Valley State University
