Fifty-Year Club members (all that have graduated prior to or in 1959) are invited to spend the day at the College familiarizing yourself with the College today and reminiscing with your classmates over the memories of yesterday.

Bluejays Care – Service Project at St. Mary's Cemetery
8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Strengthen your community by volunteering with Elmhurst College students and alumni as we help to care for the cemetery. Fall clean-up work will include raking, clearing limbs and debris and other general maintenance. Children over 14 are welcome. A light breakfast, t-shirt and tools/supplies will be provided; since the site is next to the College, transportation will not be required.

Join the Elmhurst College community as we induct new members into the Bluejay Backer Hall of Fame and honor this year’s Alumni Merit Awardees. The 2009 Alumni Merit Award will be presented to Dr. William F. Fraccaro ‘70, Linda Schiff ‘90 and Rev. Donald A. Stahlhut ‘66. The inductees to the Bluejay Backer Hall of Fame are Kathleen Brice '04 (Track/Cross Country), Brad Groth '04 (Baseball), Rob Daggett '04 (Baseball) and Juan Quesada '04 (Football).
Choir Alumni Reunion and Rehearsal

The presentation will feature undergraduate students focusing on their research regarding national and international societal issues. Alumni who majored and/or minored in the sciences are invited to return to campus for a presentation on the future of the sciences at the College led by Dr. Eugene Losey and Dr. Stacey Raimondi. After the presentation, tours of the Schaible Science Center will be available and gathering spaces will be dedicated for each program where you can meet with current faculty and students.

Reception for the Fifth Annual Alumni Art Exhibition 36th Birthday Celebration of the Accelerator

The Art Department presents its 5th Annual Alumni Art Exhibition in the Barbara A. Kieft Accelerator Art Space throughout Homecoming weekend. The show will feature work in a variety of media including photography, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture. The reception on Saturday evening also marks the 36th ‘birthday’ of the Kevatron machine (Accelerator). The event hosted jointly by the Art Department and the Physics Department is both an art exhibition and Physics Department reunion and reception.

Elmhurst College Homecoming Service
9:30 a.m. St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St., Elmhurst.
The Elmhurst College choir and alumni will sing at this special Homecoming service joining the College and community. Elmhurst College alumnus Rev. Peter Schmiechen ‘59, retired President of Lancaster Theological Seminary, will preach. After the service, join alumni and community members for refreshments.
The Niebuhr Center Ministry Team will also be participating in this service.
