Elmhurst College is preparing for one of the most spectacular football handoffs in its Homecoming history, and it’s set to take place before the game even starts. On Saturday, October 13, just before the kickoff of Elmhurst’s homecoming game against Wheaton College, members of the 101st Airborne Division's Parachute Demonstration Team, also known as The Screaming Eagles, will skydive from a plane and parachute onto Langhorst Field carrying the American flag and the game ball, which they will hand off to Elmhurst College President S. Alan Ray. The public is invited to attend both the Screaming Eagles handoff and the football game, scheduled to begin a few minutes before 2:00 p.m. at Langhorst Field.

Tailgating Notice from Campus Security: Tailgating hours for Homecoming this year are 11:30 AM – 1:45 PM. All parking lots will be closed to tailgating activities during the football game. Tailgating will also be permitted for 2 hours immediately following the end of the game, after which all tailgating participants will be asked to leave the parking lots. Alcoholic beverages and any glass bottles are not permitted in parking lots and tailgating areas. Elmhurst City Ordinance prohibits alcohol consumption or open containers in any public space outside of the hospitality tent. Violators are subject to removal from the campus and citation by the Elmhurst Police Department. To promote a family-friendly Homecoming, Elmhurst College fully supports this restriction. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
