Honors Program
Co-curricular Activities
The Honors Program is about much more than coursework. As an Honors participant, you’ll also enjoy cultural, professional and social opportunities that aren’t available to most students.
Honors students have traveled to the city for the Chicago Humanities Festival, for instance. Others attended a private reception and question/answer session with the internationally known journalist David Gergen, political consultant to four U.S. presidents.
More co-curricular opportunities include:
- Fall overnight retreat for incoming Honors Program members
- Trips to the theatre, concerts and lectures
- Social gatherings with other Honors Program participants
- Producing the Honors Program Newsletter, BLUE
- The student-run Elmhurst College Honors Organization (ECHO)
- Honors Program Leadership Conference
- Study abroad
- Career services, such as internships and professional seminars, offered in connection with the Center for Professional Excellence
