What Interns Do

As an Elmhurst College student, the internships you participate in will involve substantive, career-related projects. You’ll explore your chosen field in depth. You’ll apply what you learn in the classroom to actual workplace issues.

Here are some examples of what Elmhurst students have done for their internships:

  • Create advertising promotional campaign
  • Prepare code for new gaming software
  • Intestment portfolio
  • Prepare tax returns and conduct audits
  • Book talent for a music venue
  • Spin tunes at a radio station
  • Do market research for a multinational corporation
  • Translate and assist international visitors
  • Create trailers and write reviews for on-line entertainment site
  • Promote a political candidate
  • Mentor and counsel at-risk youth
  • Update city maps using GIS program
  • Assist in recruitment of new hires and interview process
  • Equipment inventory control and planning

In the process, you’ll develop knowledge and skills that will give you a competitive edge.
