For adult students who have been admitted to Elmhurst, here's everything you need to know about getting enrolled and registering for class.
ยป Information Technology
Information technology is a central component of today’s business world. And at Elmhurst College, you can prepare for a vital career as an IT professional in a corporate or organizational setting—on the fast track.
As an IT student at Elmhurst, you can complete your major courses in as little as 14 months. To earn the bachelor’s degree, you’ll also need to complete certain requirements in the Elmhurst College Integrated Curriculum, a series of general education courses that provide a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences.
A Focus on Adults
The program is designed specifically to meet the academic and practical needs of adult learners, age 24 and up. For example, most classes meet once a week—in the evening.
Online or On Campus
You may complete the program on our beautiful campus or online through the Elmhurst College Online Center. Online, you’ll enjoy maximum convenience along with the same high-touch spirit you’d find on campus. If you choose the on-campus program, you’ll enjoy complete access to Daniels Hall—an exceptional facility that would be the envy of a much larger campus.
Exceptional Faculty
All courses are taught by Elmhurst College faculty, who combine extensive industry experience with up-to-the-minute knowledge of current academic research.
A Path to a Great Career
Alumni of Elmhurst’s IT program are flourishing in high-ranking positions at leading international companies such as Microsoft, IBM, and Motorola. They’re thriving as senior-level hardware and software engineers, as graphic and web designers, and as entrepreneurs. Where will your degree take you?
