What You'll Learn
A Flexible Format
This is a part-time evening program. Classes are flexible enough to accommodate the schedules of professionals with work and family commitments. You can complete the program in about two years by attending classes either completely online through the Elmhurst College Online Center or evening classes on-campus.
In the first year, you will complete a schedule of courses together with your cohort. In your second year, you will select courses in your area of interest and study alongside students from several cohorts.
Prerequisites
The MBA program at Elmhurst is designed for business professionals who have completed an undergraduate degree. Although you don’t need a major in business administration, you do need to complete some undergraduate business administration courses before beginning the MBA program.
Candidates for the MBA program must have completed the following prerequisites*:
• Financial Accounting
• Managerial Accounting
• Business Finance
*The prerequisites can be met through the successful completion of online course MBA Prep 300 starting in Summer 2013. The cost of this course is $800. Contact the Office of Adult and Graduate Admission for further information at (630) 617-3300 or oaga@elmhurst.edu. Prerequisites may also be completed as part of the student’s undergraduate coursework or transferred from another college or university.
You also need at least three years of full-time professional business experience. The program director may waive prerequisites based on your interview and professional experience.
