This fall, Elmhurst College Theatre will perform Tracers, a powerful drama that challenges the audience to remember, to honor, to question and ultimately try to understand what it means to go to war—and what it takes to come home. Conceived by John DiFusco, Tracers was developed, written, and originally performed by Vietnam veterans.
Performances will take place at the Mill Theatre (located at 253 Walter St. in Elmhurst) over two consecutive weekends: Thursday through Saturday, November 12-14 and again November 19-21. Curtain time is 8:00 p.m. each night. There will be a post-show discussion following the Thursday, November 19, performance.
Directed by Janice Pohl, director of theatre, the play explores the stories of eight Vietnam veterans, each profoundly affected by their experiences in-country and at home.
Ticket prices are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, and $5 for students. For reservations or more information, call the Mill Theatre Box Office at (630) 617-3005 or visit the College website at www.elmhurst.edu.
Each year, Elmhurst College Theatre works to create theatre that engages both audiences and the College’s company of students and artist. The 2009-2010 season is no exception, including four mainstage shows, four student-directed productions, and two dance concerts. With the addition of Light Opera and Studio Showcases, Elmhurst College Theatre offers a full year of exciting and thought-provoking theatre.
