Open this joyful and spiritual season with the Elmhurst College Festival of Lessons and Carols.
This popular event draws both the campus and community together to collectively open the holiday season. The celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 1, in Hammerschmidt Memorial Chapel (190 Prospect Ave., Elmhurst)
To accommodate the popularity of this event, the College will offer two services of celebration, at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
An elegant Elmhurst College tradition since 1961, the Festival of Lessons and Carols consists of nine Scriptural readings that tell the story of the birth of the Messiah, interspersed with choral music. The Elmhurst College Choirs will perform time-honored songs to set the holiday mood and accompany each reading.
