Congressman Peter J. Roskam to Speak
As a first-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Roskam will discuss his freshman experience in Washington D.C.

Congressman Peter J. Roskam will speak at Elmhurst College on April 21, at 7:00 p.m. in Illinois Hall (located inside the Schaible Science Center at the corner of Prospect and Elm Park avenues).
Roskam was elected a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives in 2007 and previously served the Illinois General Assembly as State Representative and State Senator.
His talk at Elmhurst College is sponsored by the Students for Political Awareness. The organization invited Roskam to speak about his first-year experiences as a U.S. congressman. A question and answer session will follow his talk.
In 1993 Roskam was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives where he served for six years. In 2000, he was appointed to the Illinois Senate and served his party as Republican Whip and Floor Leader.
