Master of Science in Nursing

The MBA Option Program

Graduates of Elmhurst College’s MSN program are eligible to apply for the MBA Option, a one-year program that leads to the Master of Business Administration with a specialization in health care leadership.

The MBA Option consists of the six core courses of the Elmhurst MBA program, together with the specialization courses in clinical nurse leader, nurse educator and nursing administration that are part of the MSN curriculum.

MBA 504     Financial Management
MBA 505     Strategies for Creating a Competitive Advantage

Candidates for the MBA Option must have completed the following prerequisites*:

•    Financial Accounting
•    Managerial Accounting
•    Business Finance

*The prerequisites can be met through the successful completion of online course MBA Prep 300 starting in Summer 2013. The cost of this course is $800. Prerequisites may also be completed as part of the student’s undergraduate coursework or transferred from another college or university.
