Steel Magnolias is centered in a beauty parlor in southern Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done. Shaken by tragic events, the ladies demonstrate underlying strengths and love. The play and its characters prove to be truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.
