Residence Life Reassignment is the process for returning students to select their accommodations for the next academic year. The date is announced shortly after Spring Term begins. Students may apply to live in a house or apartment or participate in Room Draw. This process starts with floor meetings/apartment meetings that distribute necessary information. Residence hall communities will have floor meetings. Apartment and House communities will meet in Illinois Hall. Be sure to make attending your meeting a priority. Room Draw is the process used by students who wish to live in a residence hall. Lottery numbers are issued to all eligible residents and includes students that have not advised Residence Life of their intention to reside off campus. Lottery numbers are issued within each class level. Students select their room in the order of their class and lottery number.

Dates for 2011 - 2012
November 19, 2010 Deadline for residential students to declare intentions for 2011-2012. This is required to be eligible to participate in Reassignment 2011-2012. Students should go to Bluenet/Residence Life to declare their intentions to either reside in College housing next year or to indicate that they will not be residing in College housing next year.
November 30, 2010 All eligible students will receive via email the Reassignment Bulletin, including the full schedule of dates and procedures.
December 8, 2010 Commuters' deadline to deposit and be eligible for an apartment or house assignment next year.
January 30, 2011 Community Reassignment 2011-2012 meetings
January 31, 2011 Apartment and House Phase I - first deadline
March 7 & 8, 2011 Room Draw (residence halls)
All reassignment processes close before Spring Break.
