Residence Life - Room Change

Elmhurst College has experienced unprecedented growth in enrollment.  Our residence halls are at full capacity, so room changes for new students are not an option before the start of the semester.  Room Change events are held three times a year, offering residents the ability to initiate mutual roommate and room switches, as approved by their Area Coordinator/Residence Life Coordinator.  To participate, if eligible, fill out the Room Change Request Form, secure all the necessary signatures, and bring it to the Room Change held on the designated date. 

FALL:  No room changes are permitted until after the two-week freeze period at the beginning of Fall Term.  The fall room change date is Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. in the Bryan Room in the Frick Center.  Residents must complete their move by Friday, September 18, 2009. 

WINTER:  Current resident room changes for Spring Term will occur in December prior to the end of Fall Term.  The winter room change date is Tuesday, December 8, 2009.  Residents must complete their move by Friday, December 18, 2009.

SPRING:  The spring room change date is only available for residents who received a new assignment or roommate due to housing changes initiated by the Office of Residence Life.  This date occurs after the two-week freeze period at the beginning of Spring Term.  Room Change will be February 16, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the Bryan Room of the Frick Center.

If you wish to change rooms outside of established Room Change events, contact your Area Coordinator or Residence Life Coordinator for proper procedures.  All room changes must by approved by the AC/RLC.
