Programs of Study

Elmhurst's sociology and criminal justice department offers a wide range of experience with and understanding of social behavior in various contexts, from interpersonal relationships to international relations. Students learn theory and methods, study research, and apply their findings to specific circumstances.

To meet the varied needs of our students, we offer programs in both Day and Evening Sessions. In the Day Session, students may pursue a sociology major or a major in criminal justice and minors in sociology, social work and criminal justice. Within the sociology major you may also elect a concentration in criminology or human services. Evening Session students may pursue a minor in sociology.
