Elmhurst students produce an award-winning newspaper, staff the campus radio station, and publish an award-winning yearbook. All campus media are protected from censorship by College policy.
The campus yearbook, The Elms provides an impressive creative outlet for student writers, photographers and graphic designers. It’s been honored as the best yearbook in Illinois in a competition among colleges of similar size.

The College's art and literary journal publishes short stories, poems, theatrical vignettes, photography, paintings, drawings, woodcuts and more. The journal’s staff hosts The Gathering, an annual campus celebration of the arts.
Elmhurst’s student newspaper is among the most ambitious around. Each year, the staff of The Leader comes home from the convention of the Illinois College Press Association bearing multiple first-place awards. It’s one of the most independent college papers in the country—students decide everything, learning to make tough calls and stand by their decisions.

Elmhurst's own 320-watt station, WRSE-88.7 FM, has been on the air since 1947. It’s a great place to spin tunes, produce concerts, or provide commentary for an Elmhurst football game—as early as your freshman year. The station’s updated facility in the Frick Center offers a sophisticated array of equipment, three studios, a large office, and an expansive collection of music.
