Membership requirements and processes vary among Elmhurst's fraternities and sororities. Most chapters hold recruitment and intake events during the fall semester.
You must be in good academic standing with the college in order to join a fraternity or sorority. Each chapter will inform you of their specific GPA requirements.
Recruitment and Intake Information
Fraternities and sororities conduct recruitment and intake events, activities, and informational sessions at various times throughout the year. The recruitment process is either chapter or council coordinated depending on which organization you are interested in joining.
Interfraternity Council
Interfraternity Council Fraternity Recruitment is September 14-19, 2009. Participating chapters will include Alpha Sigma Phi and Lambda Chi Alpha.

Panhellenic Council
Panhellenic Formal Recruitment is October 2-5, 2008. During formal recruitment all interested students will visit and meet women from our two Panhellenic sororities. The process is based on mutual selection where the interested students choose which chapters they are interested in joining, while the Panhellenic chapters follow the same process.
