The Spring Capstone Exhibition is a highlight for every graduating art major. By featuring an entire semester's worth of work, graduating art students create a body of work, in their specific concentration (painting, sculpture, digital art, graphic design or photography), and then present the collective work as a group exhibition. Students whose work is shown in the Spring Capstone Exhibition also work together to plan the exhibition, as well as design their own promotional postcard and poster. This highly innovative exhibition, created and presented entirely by these emerging artists, is both intriguing and thought provoking.

Sandra Day O’Connor is an American pioneer: the 91st person and first woman to serve on the United States Supreme Court. Appointed by President Reagan in 1981, she served with distinction for a quarter-century, retiring in January 2006. President Obama awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009. Justice O’Connor continues to speak passionately on the central importance of an independent judiciary in a robust democracy.
